dNode

dNode Switch

Connects to the energy meter and reports consumption to E.ON's Switch flexibility market, minute by minute.

Minute values,
straight off the meter.

dNode Switch reads import energy from the meter over DSMR or DLMS and reports a value every minute. For customers on villkorade avtal (conditional connection agreements), those readings are the proof of consumption the Switch market runs on.

Read from the meter's own registers

dNode Switch takes import energy over DSMR or DLMS, establishes a baseline and reports the change every minute. What reaches the market is what the meter counted.

Readings survive a bad connection

Minute values queue on the device when the network drops and go out once it returns. If the power fails, it reports the outage before it goes dark.

Sealed after provisioning

The local admin interface is switched off once the device is configured. After that, firmware updates and diagnostics run remotely, over an encrypted connection.

dNode Switch device

Status LEDs show the state of each network link at a glance.

One portal for the whole fleet

Every dNode Switch reports its state to a portal. Partners running many devices see which are online and which have gone quiet.

Per device

The latest reading and when it arrived, the firmware version, the last contact with the backend, and the full history as a chart or a table.

Across the fleet

Counts of online and reporting devices, with search and status filters. Firmware updates go out over the air. A device that has stopped reporting stands out before anyone calls about it.

Hardware & interfaces

dNode Switch runs on our dNode edge hardware. Ethernet, Wi-Fi and LTE are all on board, and the device recovers a dropped LTE link on its own.
